Wed March 24th - Parent Meeting - Westerville North Library - 7:30 - 8:30pm. At least one parent must attend for ALL rowers. Fees and forms are due at this time ($485; if using a credit card $500). Please click on Registration on the left side bar to register and download/complete all forms.
Wed March 31st -New Parent Orientation Meeting has been re-scheduled;at 5:30 pm in the Westerville Public Library Meeting Room B. If you could post that on the website I would appreciate it. All rowers: erging begins Monday, Nov 2nd. Erging is mandatory. If you are doing another sport during the winter, but plan on rowing this spring, please let your coach know. If you need to miss erging you must let your coach know IN ADVANCE.

We are located NEXT TO the Power Shack (not in it). The business name is CPG. ENTER FROM THE REAR.
The cost for erging is $100, payable to Westerville Crew. This covers erging for four months. We have to pay rent at the erging facility. The fees are due by Nov 15th. Please give checks to Trish at erging. There will be no lifting this winter.
Brand new rowers, please also bring a completed waiver (see attachments below). You cannot erg without a completed waiver. This is if you have NEVER rowered before.
Coxswains do not have to pay, UNLESS THEY ARE PLANNING ON ERGING. Then they must also pay $100..
Parents: Parents can erg this winter; however, the $100 must also be paid and parents must erg during the time period 5:30 - 6:40ish (the rule is parents can stay as long as kids are there erging. Once the kids are gone, Matt will lock up). Matt will not wait around while a parent finishes their workout. The rowers are usually finished by 6:40.
Erging schedule:
Varsity/JV: Monday thru Thursday 5:00 - 7:00pm (will realistically be finished around 6:40) Friday 5:00 - 6:30pm (will be finished around 6:15)
Novices: Monday thru Thursday 5:00 - 7:00pm (will realistically be finished around 6:40) ; Friday 5:00 - 6:30pm (optional) (will be finished around 6:15)
A novice is one who has rowed ONE or season. Novices who have rowed two seasons are considered Varsity/JV |

The information packet is below. Please click it for directions, etc
Varisty/JV Rowers: Meet at the regatta site on FRIDAY at 4:00pm to unload the trailer. IF we don't have enough rowers commited to being there on Friday tio unlaod (we will take a count on Tuesday), all rowers will be required to be there at 6:30am on Saturday - and your parents must drive you.
On Saturday - NO ROWERS ARE ALLOWED TO DRIVE THEMSELVES TO THE REGATTA. Adults MUST drive rowers to the regatta. Rowers will be allowed to arrive two hours prior to their race IF we get the trailer unloaded on Friday afternoon.. Schedule is below. Rowers will each be doing one race (with the exception of a few of the novice men)
We would like the food trailer to arrive at Griggs on Friday to set up our tent area. We will be serving a limited menu on Saturday - brunch, no breakfast.

Results and Overall High Team points are listed bekow. Congratulations to Westerville Crew for winning the high team point trophy in the junior category and for being the overall High Team Point winner!
Columbus Fall Classic Pot Luck list is below (under attachments). Please bring extra. We have a lot more family members and alumni rowers that expect there to be great food at our food tent. In addition, we feed all of the referees and the principals from all of our high schools. It is going to be a cold day, so soups and chile will be very welcome!

Blocked room cut-off date will be September 18, 2009 so please call asap if you wish to stay in same hotel as the team.
Friday night dinner: we will not have an organized dinner this time, as everyone will be arriving at different times. Please plan on having dinner on your own. There will likely be snacks at the hotel. Bring a deck of cards - Matt likes to organize a game of Texas Hold Em at our overnighters.
Trailer unloading:
Matt and Trish will have the trailer there at 5:00 onFriday. If you are traveling and plan on arriving around that time (from 5-7pm), please go straight to the regatta site to unload thetrailer and check in at the hotel later.

This is a correction!!! DIRECTIONS TO REGATTA SITE:: take US-23N to US-15N to I-75N.
Go South on I-75
Exit 201B – OH-25N toward Downtown
At bottom of ramp turn left at the light onto Erie Street.
Follow Erie Street north to Cherry Street
At the light at Cherry Street turn right.
Cross The Martin Luther King, Jr. bridge
Turn right at the light immediately after the bridge into International Park
The TRC boathouse will be on the left and please follow signs and volunteers
to trailer and car parking.
- Please click the info packet below for regatta info AND A MAP
-Cox meeting is at 7:00. All rowers should be at the boats (near the gazebo) NOT THE TENT AREA promptly at 7:00. Boats will need to be rigged. the varsity/JV women go out first, then the novice men.....
