PARENTS: please don't complete the Register yet.  We have not updated it for fall. The information below is for planning purposes.
 
Tentative Fall 2009 Dates
 
 Mon 8/17/09 - First day of practice (5:15 - 7:15)
Thurs 8/27/09: Mandatory Parent Meeting (at least one parent must attend - that includes JV/varsity)  7:30-8:30pm at JCC shelter house. This is a ONE HOUR meeting.  Will not go beyond 8:30! This is the dealine for fees.
Sat 8/29/09:New Parent Orientation meeting on Sat. Aug. 29 at 8am in the JCC shelterhouse. Get acquainted and learn everything that you wanted to know about crew and regattas.  Will last about one hour. Questions, contact Jo Sobiech jsobiech3@hotmail.com
Sat 9/19/09: Head of the Cuyahoga (day trip) Cleveland
Sat 9/26/09: Frogtown (day trip) Toledo
Sat 10/3/09: Head of the Ohio (over night on Friday night) Pittsburgh
Sat 10/10/09: Columbus Fall Classic - Hoover
Sat 10/24/09: Speakmon (tentative)
 
Please refer to the website for the Hotel arrangements for Sept 25th if you do not wish to drive your rower in the morning (4:00 a.m.).  Info will be posted later. All parents are expected to drive their rowers to regattas. If you are unable to drive to a regatta, you must contact Elizabeth Watts  elizabeth.watts@duke-energy.com  one week prior to the regatta.  She will attempt to find your rower a ride.
 
The club pays for the Hotel the weekend of Oct 2nd (Head of the Ohio) for all rowers. Parents are required to make their own reservations and pay for their rooms. We do block several rooms at a special rate.  Please check the website – and we recommend that you reserve your room early!

 

Registration
(We are doing almost everything online this season)
PLEASE COMPLETE ALL OF THESE STEPS!
STEP 1:   Register - This MUST be filled out by the parent meeting.  If you have not done this yet, please do so – and complete all fields. Please do this even if you completed it last season.  There are new fields to complete.  We must have this completed for your rower to be added to the roster.
STEP 2:  Download the Club waiver & emergency form (below), sign and return with fees at the Parent Meeting on March 5th.

STEP 3:  Sign online waivers for regatta participation: Please go to https://www.regattacentral.com/athletes, submit the roster code (QC-576448) and register your athlete. This waiver must be completed to row in regattas. This is for new rowers only.  If you signed an online waiver last spring it is good for one year. USRowing needs online waivers signed at the beginning of each year.

We are an all volunteer club.  Parents are required to sign up for at least one job under the Club Activities field and the Hoover Regatta field.  We appreciate your cooperation!

 

Forms and Payment
 

New this season: All Forms and payment are due at the Parent Meeting, August 27, 2009. At least one parent is required to attend (including varsity members).

 

Spring Fees:     $485.00   by check, Make checks payable to Westerville Crew.

                        $500.00   by credit card (must be done at parent meeting)

 
Families with multiple rowers may deduct $100 from the second rower on.
