About Us

 Westerville Crew Rowing Club

Dedication, Teamwork, Desire

Westerville Crew is a high school rowing team serving the communities of the northeast Columbus metropolitan area, including members from the Westerville, Olentangy, Big Walnut, New Albany, Gahanna, and Granville school districts.  Westerville Crew is an all-volunteer organization able to exist through the generosity of many parents, coaches, and community leaders.

During the summer and fall of 2005, Westerville Crew coaches and rowers participated in teaching the sport of rowing to dozens of breast cancer survivors who are now competing in several fall regattas.

The Westerville Crew's home is located at Jewish Community Center (JCC) on the Hoover Reservoir in Westerville, Ohio.
Jewish Community Center (JCC)
4290 East Walnut Street
Westerville, Ohio  43081

The JCC is located on East Walnut Street (which once connected to Walnut Street before they built this thing called Hoover Dam).

  • Come south on Sunbury Road to about 1/2 mile south of the dam.
  • Turn east onto Central College (the only way you can turn).  There is a traffic light and a Duke/Duchess gas station at this intersection.
  • Take Central College to your first street intersection (called Cubbage Road) (about 3/4 mile) and turn left.
  • Take Cubbage to its end (about 1/2mile) and turn left onto East Walnut.
  • Go about 15 yards on East Walnut and turn right into the gravel driveway with the clearly blue gate.
  • Take that driveway back until you see a 60 feet long barn to your left and a second blue gate;
  • Turn left onto that second driveway and park in the grassy area to the right of the driveway.  Do not drive all the way to the water (ie, past the barn) as that driveway is restricted!
  • Follow the driveway back (walking!) to the area where we store our boats.  You cannot miss the bright yellow, 58 foot long boats.
